About

A Beacon of Hope

Lighthouse Apostolic Church History

Founded in 1959 by Rev. John and Janice Allard and originally located on S. I St. They moved to the current location at 416 2nd Ave.  E. in 1969. This faithful couple served as pastors for 54 years until they retired on Easter Sunday of 2013. Pastoral leadership was then transferred to Rev. Adrian and Jennifer Wolfe in the following month of that same year. This couple and their family has since then faithfully served the Church and provided care for the saints with a fervent passion to see revival in Oskaloosa.

The Church received a name change to better represent the vision and mission of this congregation, to be a lighthouse and a beacon of hope to Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Welcome to Lighthouse Apostolic Church.

Pastor Adrian M. Wolfe

After attending a semester at Indiana Bible College and 9 months on an A.I.M. (Associates in Missions) trip to Belarus in '93-'94, Pastor Adrian M. Wolfe moved to Iowa in 1996 where he met his lovely wife, Jennifer E. Wolfe in Knoxville, Iowa.

Once married, they both taught Sunday school and served as youth leaders before moving to Chariton in 2001 to help establish a Church. While there Adrian became a licensed minister with the UPCI and served as assistant pastor.

Upon the Allard's retirement, Rev. Wolfe and his family, Jennifer, Calvin, and Sidney began driving over from Chariton each Sunday to take care of the services at First Pentecostal Church. They agreed to serve as interim pastor while waiting for their home to sell so they could go to Latvia as missionaries. However, God had other plans. In September of 2013 they moved to Oskaloosa. After much prayer and fasting they accepted the job as full time pastor.

The Wolfe family has come to love this community and it's people. They are excited to see what God is going to do in Oskaloosa and the surrounding communities.

Youth Pastor Calvin S. Wolfe

Calvin and Shaelin Wolfe are both PKs (Pastors Kids). They met at the Iowa Youth Camp in 2019.

Upon graduating high school Calvin entered the workforce and is now a manager at Vermeer in Pella, Iowa.

They got married in November of 2021 and were voted in as youth leaders in 2022. They have a passion for leading the youth into the Will of God, their calling, and out of enduring situations through prayer and guidance. They want to be of service and godly dedication to any young person who walks through the doors of Lighthouse Apostolic Church.
